What is the No Surprises Act?

The No Surprises Act was passed to inform you about your protections from unexpected medical bills if you choose not to use insurance. It also asks if you would prefer to give up those protections and pay more for out-of-network care.

"Good Faith Estimate"

Under the No Surprises Act you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" that explains how much your medical care will cost.

Health care providers are required to give patients who choose not to use insurance an estimate of the bill for services.
